The 2026/27 South African Premiership season enters matchday three this weekend as league leaders Kaizer Chiefs look to make it three consecutive wins and maintain their current stay on top of the embryonic league.
Chiefs are top with six points after two wins against newcomers Kruger United and Sekhukhune, scoring five times and conceding just once in that run.
Defending champions Orlando Pirates are in second with four points after being held to a 2-1 draw by Amazulu. Polokwane and Amazulu follow closely, level on four points as well.
Record league winners Mamelodi Sundowns are in fifth with three points but have only played one game so far this season. A mouthwatering clash against the league leaders highlights this weekend’s round of fixtures.

With all teams in action from Friday night through to Sunday evening, we have a look at a couple of the top matches scheduled and offer our predicted outcomes.
Amazulu vs Siwelele – Saturday, 4PM – Princess Magogo Stadium
Amazulu come into the match in fourth place with four points, most recently playing out to a thrilling 1-1 draw against Pirates. They kicked off their campaign with a narrow 1-0 victory against Stellenbosch.
They take on a Siwelele side coming off a shock 1-0 defeat to newbies Milford FC, following a 2-2 draw against TS Galaxy in their opening match.
These two sides have only played against each other twice in their history and Amazulu are still unbeaten against their opponents. They won 2-0 last season before settling for a 1-1 stalemate in the second leg.
With only one win from their last five matches, Siwelele are desperate to get their first win of the campaign but it is unlikely they will do that here. The hosts are favorites to maintain their unbeaten start to the season here.

Kaizer Chiefs vs Mamelodi Sundowns – Saturday, 4PM – FNB Stadium
Both matches between these South African heavyweights last season resulted in a draw. Which team will draw first blood and finally get one over their opponents?
Chiefs have began the season extremely well and lead the standings with six points, three more than Sundowns who have only played one match so far. Sphelele Mkhulise came off the bench to score two late goals to hand Sundowns a 3-2 victory away at TS Galaxy.

Meanwhile, Chiefs made light work of Sekhukhune to register a comfortable 2-0 win, maintaining their unbeaten start to the 2026/27 league season.
The hosts have only beaten Sundowns once in their last five head-to-head matches, with the last two resulting in draws. The season is still pretty young but we can still expect a hard-fought battle between these two teams.

Milford FC vs Kruger FC – Saturday, 9PM – Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium
The two newly promoted sides will battle it out in their third game of the 2026/27 South African Premiership. Milford come into the game in sixth place with three points, while Kruger are rooted to the bottom with only a point to their name.

Milford bounced back from an opening defeat to Pirates to beat Siwelele 1-0 in midweek. Menzi Chili’s 77th minute Eddie was enough to gift them their first win since promotion.
Kruger on the other hand lost 3-1 to Chiefs before salvaging a point in a barren draw against Marumo Gallants.
Kruger completed the double over Milford last season and will need to be at their best to repeat that success, to at least get their first win of the campaign.

Chippa Utd vs Orlando Pirates – Sunday, 4PM – Sisa Dukashe Stadium
Both these teams remain unbeaten as they prepare to battle it out in their third game of the season. Pirates are in second place with four points, while Chippa are in eighth place after successive draws to kick off their campaign.
Chippa are coming off a 1-1 draw against Richards Bay, while Pirates were held by the same scoreline against Amazulu.
Pirates will be full of confidence having won all of their last five competitive matches they have played against Chippa. They have scored 10 times in those matches and conceded just once.
The last time Chippa managed to beat Pirates was a 1-0 victory back in 2022 and they are not expected to win here. The visitors are favorites to grind out another win here as they seek to defend the title they won last season.

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
